Fetcha is designed with privacy at its core. Your credentials and data stay on your Mac—we never see them, store them, or transmit them to our servers.
What Fetcha Does Not Collect
- Passwords or login credentials — stored locally in macOS Keychain only
- Downloaded files — saved directly to your Mac
- Website content — browser sessions run locally
- Personal browsing data — we have no access to your browser activity
What Fetcha May Collect
To improve the app and provide support, Fetcha may collect:
- Anonymous usage analytics — such as which features are used (with your consent)
- Crash reports — to identify and fix bugs (with your consent)
- App version and macOS version — for compatibility purposes
You can opt out of analytics and crash reporting in the app settings.
Credential Storage
All login credentials are stored in macOS Keychain, Apple's secure credential storage system. This provides:
- Hardware-level encryption on Apple Silicon Macs
- Protection by your Mac's login password and biometrics
- No plain-text storage of passwords
- Credentials that never leave your device
Website & Marketing
This website (fetcha.app) may use:
- Analytics — to understand how visitors use our website
- Form submissions — contact forms and waitlist signups are processed by Basin
- Cloudflare Turnstile — for spam protection on forms
Third-Party Services
Fetcha may use third-party services for:
- Licence validation — to verify your purchase
- Software updates — to deliver new versions
These services do not have access to your credentials or downloaded files.
Data Retention
We retain minimal data. Waitlist and contact form submissions are retained until they are no longer needed. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
